Bungay 1st Team completed their first home win of the season by defeating table topping Swaffham on Saturday. The A Team travelled to rackheath where they did not score enough runs and were soundly beaten View 1st Team league table
Tony Chang and Tim Porter starred with the bat, scoring 76 and 75 on the opening day of the season. Earlier the bowlers chipped in with vital wickets as they thrashed Eaton by 9 wickets. View league table
Bungay claimed the Champions spot last season following a win away at Winterton. This was due, in no small way, to Tom York's magnificent season with the bat. He won the Alliance League Batsman of the Year award for the highest run scorer in all divisions. His season's total of 1,045 runs has only been beaten 4 times in the history of this Alliance Trophy (3 times by Carl Rogers, although one was 1,046!) See league tables

To co-incide with a running club event and our youth cricket practice on Wednesdays 5th and 19th June Pilch Sports from Norwich will be having a 'stand' where cricket gear for all ages can be bought. They are offering a 20% discount on shop prices apparently.
