April 15th
Bungay's season ended on a high note with an emphatic victory over opponents who had climbed above them in the table.

After a period of Gunton pressure Bungay broke out and took the lead when Thomas crossed from the left for Rhys to prod home. The home team replied and hit the bar before Rhys scored again when Lambert's cross was passed on by Miles and Sam, and Miles added number three after Sam's corner was flicked on by Rhys.

Gunton again hit the woodwork after Jake's acrobatic save, but Bungay's confidence was high and they grabbed two more before the break. Elliot's shot was spilled by the home keeper and Rhys was on hand to complete a first half hat-trick, before Thomas advanced from deep to place a long shot inside the post.

Gunton's efforts were rewarded with a lob over Jake, but any hopes of a fightback were dashed when a home corner was cleared by Elliot to Harry R, bursting forward from his own half to score with a rocket. Sam added the next with a solo effort from wide on the right. Harry H's shot from distance was well saved, before Miles completed the scoring with goal of high quality: a drag back followed by a well placed shot beyond the keeper's reach. Bungay's defence, Ben, Kieron, Mark and Billy had to work hard throughout to keep the home forwards in check, and new man Kyle slotted in well on his second appearance.

So Bungay edge back into fourth place with 94 league goals, showing that they have potential for next season if they are able to produce performances like this with more consistency.
