8th November: Bungay Under 17's 0 - 3 St Benets
Well girls, a poor performance today. The disappointing thing was that you all dropped your heads and gave up, not what I like to see. The first half better than the second for effort. Bungay got into kicking and hoping instead off passing and moving that I know they can do. Bungay were only 2-0 down at half time and the next goal was crucial but unfortunatly St Benets got it half way through the second half,3-0. Bungay conceded 3 more goals before the end. Right girls, lets forget about this game and focus on our next game, improve and play the football I know you can.
11th October: Bungay Under 17's 1 - 3 Swindell Girls
On Sunday Bungay girls played Swindel girls, a poor performance by our girls, the will to win was not there this week as it was last week. The girls have to start believing in their abilities as footballers and play the football I know they can.
That said I can not complain about the effort they all put in. We lost the game 3-1 and if you look back 12 months we lost to this team very heavily. So take that and the fact we lost Becci Wilson half way through the first half with an injury, and no subs to put on, the girls did very well.
COME ON GIRLS BELIVE IN YOURSELVES. YOU ARE BETTER THAN YOU THINK YOU ARE.
4th October: Freethorpe 2 - 4 Bungay Under 17's
Bungay Town u17 girls got their season off to a great start with a 4-2 away win at Free Thorpe, all the girls played with great passion and will to win running non stop for the whole 80 minutes. Having said that Bungay did what they like to do and give the other team a head start before we woke up and realised that we were playing a game of football. after the first 10 minutes Bungay started to play the ball around and with the pace of Joanne up front troubled free Thorpe all game. Holly, Alice, and Bronwyn started taking control of midfield and with that Bungay had 5 good efforts at goal but no reward for all their hard work and to rub salt in to the wound free Thorpe scored again with the last kick of the first half to make it 2-0. Bungay started the second half well, with 2 or 3 good efforts at goal. Free Thorpe came close to getting a third, but with some good goalkeeping from Ashleigh, Bungay kept them out Then finally Bungay got the goal they deserved, Bronwyn finishing off a good move from Bungay. That was quickly followed by a second for Bungay, and a second for Bronwyn. The girls did not stop there and with 10 minutes to go Bungay scored again, and again Bronwyn tucked it away well to get her hat trick. Free Thorpe pushed forward hopping to pierce our defence but Bungay held firm, a great effort from our defence of Rebekah, Sophie Mills and Sophie Rudd, and to round of a great start to the season Bungay scored their fourth goal by Joanne who thoroughly deserved it for all the hard work she had done up front on her own. There is just one more thing to say on the efforts of all the girls, that they did play with only 8 as Rachael was not well enough to play, well done girls.
